Full Job Description
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
- Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
- Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
- Replacing faulty network hardware components when required.
- Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications.
- Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
- Conferring with network users about solving existing system problems.
- Operating master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems.
- Coordinating computer network access and use.
- Designing, configuring and testing networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software.
- Manage information technology and Client / Server environment.
- Be familiar with Firewalls and Corporate Antivirus Implementation
- Knowledge of Mailing Servers (Exchange & MDaemon).
- Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software.
- Provide orientation to new users of existing technology.
- Train staff about potential uses of existing technology.
- Provide individual training and support on request.
- Provide recommendations about accessing information and support.
- Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources.
- Monitor and maintain technology to ensure maximum access.
- Troubleshoot all technical issues.
- Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources.
- Research current and potential resources and services.
- Monitor security of all technology.
- Install and maintain Foolproof and passwords.
- Input and maintain IP addresses.
- Advise staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the line manager.
Job Objective:
- To provide IT solutions/troubleshooting as per the management instructions.
- Ensure the stable operation of in-house computer networks, including planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links.
- Work in accordance with the company’s IT policy and internal audit NCRs.
- Also analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required.
Prerequisites /KPIs:
- Maintains information technology strategies by managing users; researching and implementing technological strategic solutions.
- Maintains organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
- Timely and accurate resolution of escalated Network issues including.
- Regular monitoring of network performance and capacity issues.
- Abrupt resolutions of network outages and downtime.
- Timely response to security issues and breaches.
- Creation and maintenance of documentation for all customer and internal networks.
- Maintain high quality 24/7 operations of all the company’s IT systems and interests.
Significant input into new technology design and new IT service implementation.
Education Required:
Post Graduate (BCS, BIT) OR Relevant Degree
Experience Required:
2 years to 3 years Relevant Experience
Skill Set Required:
- MCSE 2003, CCNA, MCITP, MCSE 2012, Virtualization Knowledge, MCSA, A+, .
- Be Familiar with Open Source Platforms (FreeNas, Pfsense)
- Be familiar with SAN & Open-Source NAS
- Be Familiar with Servers Virtualization Technology on Microsoft Hypervisor, vSphere, and VMware.
- Well experienced on Microsoft Operating System 2003 – 2012 R2 (DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, IIS, Backing-up OS, FSRM, DFS, Group Policy, Wireless Networking)
- Proactively shares information and works in a mutual learning environment, seen as a leader by all of his team.
- Willingness to adapt the way of approaching an issue without actually adapting own tactics.
- Considered as a personality who will not compromise on company policies and procedures in any given situation; seen as a role model for portraying as a true professional.
- English and Urdu Communication /skills (both written & oral).
- Highly Motivated & Energetic and have a huge Appetite for Work & Growth.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools particularly expertise in worked, excel and powerpoint.
- Excellent time management and teamwork.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Should possess knowledge and skills of all IT functions.
