Job Description

A Business Intelligence Developer to be responsible for the upkeep and development of warehouse data to support the business decision-making. The BI Developer builds and maintains a data warehouse design to generate reports for retail, merchandizing, manufacturing, warehouse, marketing, and financial intelligence to aid in business performance monitoring and business decision making.

A successful BI Developer has a strong working knowledge of business trends. You should have strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) with clear objectives.
  • Convert business requirements into technical specifications and decide timeline to accomplish
  • Develop standard reports and functional dashboards based on business requirements using Power BI.
  • Maintain business intelligence models to design, develop and generate reports.
  • Generate reports for business performance monitoring and business decision making.
  • Manage new report generation and report enhancement based on the change requests.
  • Perform data warehouse design and modelling according to established standards.
  • Determine business intelligence and data warehousing solutions to meet business needs.
  • Ensure to generate and deliver quality reports in timely and accurate manner.
  • Identify and resolve data reporting issues in a timely fashion.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on new or enhanced reports.
  • Recommend improvements to provide optimum reporting solutions.
  • Stay updated with business operations and business intelligence processes.
  • Conduct training programs to BI users.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor/master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • Experience as a BI Developer.
  • Experience in data warehouse design.
  • Experience in ETL design and development.
  • Strong knowledge SQL/PLSQL
  • Working knowledge of BI technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Good communication skills.
