Summer Internship Program 2022 (Remote) Mindstorm Studios, through its initiative M-Labs has embarked on a mission to catalyze game building in Pakistan. Our primary focus is to help the industry level up by sharing knowledge and grooming talent through various learning and exposure opportunities for the country’s youth who are passionate about game building. In order to fulfill this task, M-Labs started a 2 months long Summer Internship Program back in 2020, tailored specifically for students to cover different facets of game development such as Game Design, Game Programming and Game Arts. Holistically, the program is designed to provide students with the right exposure essential to carve a career and excel in the $180 billion global gaming industry. To put learning to practical use, the program also includes mandatory participation in an event called the Rookie Game Jam, in which participants form teams and are tasked to produce a mobile game from scratch. Not only that, students get an opportunity to experience the industrial culture, get mentored by the top game building minds of Pakistan as well as become part and interact with M-Labs game building community, which is now 3000 members strong, making it the largest game building community in the country. Till date, 2250 students from 125 educational institutes from all across Pakistan have been trained through this program in the fields of game design, arts and programming, making it the largest learning initiative in the country. Furthermore, Rooke Game Jam has become the biggest game building event in Pakistan over the last 2 years, providing the opportunity for enthusiastic game builders to showcase their talent on a national stage. Continuing on the success of previous years, we are pleased to announce that this year, M-Labs is back with the Summer Internship Program 2022 (Remote).
