Junior Security Engineer Mindwhiz Lahore Job details Job Type Full-time Full Job Description We are hiring a Junior Security Engineer Junior Security Engineer - SOC Job Description · Monitoring of information security events and logs (IDS/DLP/SIEM/etc.) in a 24X7 SOC environment · Understand clearly Security Principles and Practices · Communication with the client to clearly articulate incidences, action taken and respond to any queries raised Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) Understanding of basic functions including: - Configure and deploy log collectors - Create and maintain SIEM policies and rulesets - Take action on alarms Intrusion detection and prevention (IPS/IDS) Understanding of basic functions including: - Update IPS/IDS signatures as they are made available - IPS/IDS log analysis - Identify positive threats - Tune the sensors to reduce noise and improve fidelity Next Gen FW (NGFW) Understanding of basic functions including: - Create Rules to deny/allow interesting traffic - Monitor Traffic Flows - Maintain and configure Application Control rules - Maintain and configure AV engine Proxy and Reverse Proxy Understanding of basic functions including: - Add forward and reverse proxy rules - Maintain proxy rules to ensure complex applications are protected and functional AV servers Understanding of basic functions including: - Maintain AV engine with updated virus definitions - Identify potential malware and threats - Take action to protect the environment from potential threats Qualification · Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent · Minimum 2 years of work experience in a relevant role as a Network Engineer, System Administrator or Security Engineer · Excellent Oral and written communication skills · Certification Preferred: CISSP, CCNA or equivalent Job Type: Full-time Link:> https://pk.indeed.com/company/Mindwhiz/jobs/Junior-Security-Engineer-a6b260ca3eabeed0?fccid=c520aac272b02ce2&vjs=3...
