Dear Alumni, We at Knowledge Streams are thrilled to share the commencement of our Bootcamp for trainee software engineers, designed to bridge the university-industry divide and prepare global IT professionals. Our training program is designed to help participants like you develop new skills and advance their careers. Knowledge Streams – Zero Tuition Upfront

Dear Dr. Prof. Shahzad Sarwar, I hope this email finds you well. I'm excited to introduce you to Knowledge Streams, a dedicated corporate training facility that focuses on providing face-to-face boot camps for IT professionals and individuals looking to transition into the IT industry. Our primary goal is to bridge the gap between talent and employment in the tech industry, and we do so by offering university graduates top-tier technical and soft skills training that surpasses international standards. Following the success of our collaboration of donors, we have decided to eliminate the entire burden of Tuition Fees for IT training and move completely to a deferred tuition model. Now anyone, with an aptitude for IT, can enroll in our program, graduate, become employed, and only then return the tuition fee over a period of a year. This offer of “0” Tuition Upfront is available both to your University’s CS/IT graduates, as well as graduates of allied fields who wish to move into the IT field. Our next batch of trainees is to be inducted on October 30, and we are planning to offer morning and evening programs in Web Development, Data Science and Cyber Security, targeted at CS/IT graduates or students in their final semester (if their schedule allows them to attend). We are also offering introductory programs in Programming and Data Science which are aimed at graduates in the field of engineering, economics, statistics, mathematics, etc., who wish to move into the field of IT. The boot camp will start on October 30th, 2023, and the duration of the program is 3 months. The program runs for 5 hours a day and both morning (9am – 2pm) and evening (2:30pm to 7:30pm) sessions are available. Punjab University joined the Knowledge Streams University Alliance

Supporting the development of IT professionals, Punjab University joined the Knowledge Streams University Alliance. Through an MoU signed between University of the Punjab and KnowlEDGE Streams at the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) Campus of Punjab University, the two organizations pledged to work together to design, develop, and deliver cutting-edge IT training programs that meet the needs of the industry. The partnership aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to excel in the IT industry and bridge the skills gap that exists in the market. Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Niaz Akhtar, Vice Chancellor of Punjab University, appreciated the programs of KnowlEDGE Streams to bridge the University – Industry divide, under the leadership of its CEO, Dr. S. Sohail H. Naqvi . Advisor Knowledge Streams Dr. Naveed Malik, who is also the founder of FIT (formerly PUCIT) was also present, together with Dr. Shahzad Sarwar, Dean of FIT, who will oversee the implementation of alliance objectives at Punjab University. Brief About Student Loan Scheme   Pursuant to the announcement made by the Federal Finance Minister in his 2001-2002-budget speech, a STUDENTS LOAN SCHEME (SLS) for Education was launched by the Government of Pakistan in collaboration with major commercial banks of Pakistan (NBP, HBL, UBL, MCB and ABL). Under the Scheme, financial assistance is provided by way of Interest Free Loans to the meritorious students who have financial constraints for pursuing their studies in Scientific, Technical and Professional education within Pakistan. The Scheme is being administered by a high powered committee comprising Deputy Governor, State Bank of Pakistan, Presidents of the commercial banks and representative of Ministry of Finance, Government of Pakistan.
