Primary Responsibilities for Data Engineer:
- Design and implement ODI Extract, Load and Transform (ELT) processes, programs and scripts. Design of data warehouse tables, including source to target mappings, configuration of ODI knowledge modules…etc.
- Develop and document the ODI ELT process. Help in Creation and maintenance of the source to Client data mappings, ELT specifications and complex transformation rules and technical documentation.
- Strong development experience in ODI, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL. Must have the ability to write Stored Procedures, Functions, and Packages. Support testing, deployment and ongoing support of data warehouse systems.
- Knowledge of database indexing and tuning in Oracle Database. Ability to interpret requirements and technical specifications and translate them into visual representations of information.
- Assist in developing and publishing data management standards, policies and procedures, including the management and maintenance of related tools and environments. Collaborate with Oracle Database Administrators for the Warehouse database design, data model, and storage, security, performance and data environment requirements.
- Perform maintenance and support of existing applications. Establish, Maintain and Adhere to ELT and Data Integration Standards.
Primary Requirements for Data Engineer:
- Minimum 2‐6 years’ experience in a small to mid‐size software company in a similar role
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field of study
- Must have extensive and recent ODI development experience
- Must have ODI in a Data Migration/Data Transformation environment
- Experience using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Informatics or other industry standard ETL tool
- Lead the design and Development of ETL and Data Integration routines using Oracle BI Cloud Connector (BICC) and Oracle Data Integrator Market Place (ODI)
- Strong Experience of design and develop or modify ETL Load Plans that load data for the Oracle ADW (Oracle Autonomous data warehouse) using Oracle ODI 12c and PL/SQL
- Development of new integrations across on-premises and cloud integrations
