Unity Foods Limited, one of the leading Food Industries in the FMCG sector. We are currently recruiting for Desk Support Engineer for our Head office based in Karachi. An incumbent will be performing the following responsibilities.
Role/Responsibilities:
- Installation and troubleshooting of desktop/laptop and hardware/software related issues.
- Ensure proper logging of all IT assets deployed at sites and maintain updated databases.
- Assist with the design, implementation, and ongoing support of new software and features.
- Ensure proper Antivirus and Security Tools coverage across all users operating at site and report in case of any breach to central IT Team
- Install and configure Operating System, software, SAP/ERP Support in close coordination with HO IT teams
- Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnose/solve hardware/software faults.
- Provide hardware and software support for all desktop and laptop users.
- Oversee troubleshooting for system errors, Provide help desk support for network issues.
- Provide technical support either by phone, remote access or site visits as needed.
- Evaluate and resolve connectivity IT issues, equipment, software, Networking & hardware.
- Set up a new computer with necessary peripheral devices (Bio metric, routers, printers etc.)
- Networks, virus protection, Wi-Fi technology, and more.
- Work with a Network and Desktop support team.
- Installation/ Uninstall, Configuration, Fault Diagnosing. Installation & administration of Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7 & XP based network using all renowned.
- Investigate, recommend, and install new technology enhancements and apply technical knowledge to enhance network availability and recovery form incidents.
- Replace hardware parts in systems, as and when needed.
- Maintain office equipment e.g. Printers, Projectors, Desktop and Laptops.
- Work through proper usage of the Support Ticketing System and timely close all assigned support tasks in the system.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications: Bachelor’s or above
Experience: 02 to 03 Years of relevant experience.
- Basic networking knowledge.
- Ability to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve complicated technical issues
- Requires an individual familiar with using desktop software applications such as web browsing, and IT Service Management software.
- Proven analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Rs40,000.00 – Rs50,000.00 per month
