Master Data Management Specialist 

OBJECTIVE

The MDM – Specialist is required to assist with product data completeness and accuracy in accordance with the business data requirements. This role is responsible for timely execution of a variety of practices related to data management by working directly with key stakeholders. Along with this the position will also involve coordinating the data related tasks cross-functionally within the organization in order to deliver smooth and efficient internal and external operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap including strategic priorities for development of information-based capabilities as aligned with the business stakeholders
• Establish and ensure adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data policies, standards and practices, both at the department and Business and Functional areas level, to achieve the required level of consistency, quality and protection to meet overall business needs
• Ensure consistent data alignment & flow between the products by performing various data validation checks
• Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the company’s principal information assets
• Conduct periodic audit of the system utilization and Capacity planning
• Lead initiatives and develop new processes with data acquisition, data integration, data quality, and data lifecycle management, as well as for data stewardship
• Train users and business departments and create Standard Operating Procedures
• Ensure that data is usable, accessible and protected
• Ensure documentation of all data governance activities

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum bachelor’s degree preferably in IT, Computer Science, Data/Business Analytics or other related domains
• Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to the management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant Master Data Management role or a Data/Business Analytics role

• Familiarity with enterprise level data software such as SAP, Oracle or any related inhouse products
• Strong working experience of MS Excel, SQL and familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Should be passionate about data, information management, and its role for organizational decision making and performance boost.
