- GCS Information Technology Services (Microsoft Midmarket Solution provider, Managed service provider) is looking for a self-driven Network Engineer to join our team.
- Provide remote support to users, who can be staff and clients in the USA, and troubleshoot any problems that arise.
- The selected candidates will work in full coordination with technical staff such as Sr. System Administrator, Chief System Architects, and other team members.

Job Responsibilities:
- Applicable Technologies: including but not limited to Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Ruckus, Ubiquiti, IPS, IDS, Networking Protocols
- Gather customer requirements and design network architecture (LAN, WAN, Wireless) according to customer needs.
- Design, deploy and maintain network solutions according to network architecture.
Install, configure and support LAN network equipment including but not limited to routers, access layer switches, WIFI’s, DNS and DHCP servers and services. - Install, configure, and maintain wireless solutions including wifi access points, wireless LAN controllers etc.
- Install, configure, and maintain network security equipment e.g., firewall, IPS, IDS etc.
- Design, deploy and maintain solutions for site connectivity with relevant technologies such as MPLS, IPSEC VPN, Point to Point connections, DMVPN
- Maintain and optimize network effectives by implementing QOS services, limiting unnecessary traffic etc.
- Implement NCM and change management controls with all applicable infrastructure.
- Assess customer security requirements and implement relevant controls on network devices such as IPS, IDS, Firewalls etc.
- Monitoring network traffic / bandwidth using NetFlow tools and take necessary actions to optimize and control bandwidth according to client need.
- Plan and schedule proactive network upgrades (firmware upgrades, hardware upgrades
- Investigate and troubleshoot faults in the network
- Design, deploy and maintain Software Defined Networks e.g., SDWAN
- Develop network capacity plan and balance load using load balancers etc.
- Develop a disaster recovery plan for each client and test it on a regular basis.
- Develop incident response plan and test is on regular basis
- Identify single point of failure and proactive recommend solutions to clients
- Keep and maintain all relevant documents (network configurations, layouts, architectures, required policies
- Continuously monitor and report network status to relevant parties
Job Requirements:
- Proven 5+ years of experience in a network engineer role
- Hands on experience in networking, routing, and switching
- Experience with firewalls (Fortinet, Barracuda, CISCO, Dell SonicWALL etc.),
- Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired
- Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of networking infrastructure, set up and configure networking hardware and software
- Great at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking, Proven experience of working to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Remote support of network devices and hardware
- Troubleshooting L2 issues relating to Packets, hardware, and software
- Associate Level certification (Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper or equivalent) CCNA, Network+, CCNP, CCSP, CCVP, NSE4 or equivalent
- MS/BS/BSc degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent
- With at least 5 years’ experience in network & system administration role
