What You’ll Do:

 Build and maintain automation scripts/tools to optimize support workflows and diagnostics

What We’re Looking For:

 Software development background (hands-on with Python, Bash, PHP, or similar)
 Familiarity with automation testing (frameworks/tools for QA/testing)
 Solid understanding of databases and SQL (PostgreSQL preferred). Experience with the Linux command line is a plus.  Familiarity with web applications, APIs, and microservices
 Strong problem-solving and communication skills
 6 months – 1 year of relevant experience (junior-level dev/testing roles acceptable)

Prof. Dr. Syed Waqar ul Qounain Jaffry Represents Pakistan at IEEE IES SYP Congress 2025 in Tunisia

Tunis, August 17, 2025 — Prof. Dr. Syed Waqar ul Qounain Jaffry proudly represented Pakistan at the 2nd IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) Students and Young Professionals (SYP) Congress, held from 15–17 August 2025 at the Regency Hotel, Tunis, Tunisia. The international congress brought together over 120 participants from across the globe to exchange knowledge, build networks, and explore future directions in industrial electronics and emerging technologies.

Prof. Jaffry organized and led a roundtable discussion on "Human Skills in an AI World: Preparing Future Engineers for Hybrid Intelligence." During the session, he emphasized the urgent need to equip young engineers with adaptive skills, ethical awareness, and interdisciplinary knowledge to thrive in the age of artificial intelligence. He further highlighted the importance of balancing technical expertise with human-centric competencies such as creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, emotional and cultural intelligence, conflict resolution, and leadership.

In his address, Prof. Jaffry also shared the current status, achievements, and progress of the IEEE Lahore Section, showcasing Pakistan’s growing contributions within the global IEEE community. His participation not only reflected Pakistan’s presence on the international stage but also inspired students and young professionals to prepare for the evolving landscape of technology with a holistic mindset.

The IEEE IES SYP Congress continues to serve as a premier platform for nurturing talent, inspiring leadership, and promoting global collaboration in advancing technological innovation for the benefit of humanity.

The Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FCIT) has successfully concluded its Final Year Design Project (FYDP) cycle, marking a significant academic achievement. This year, simultaneous evaluations of 72 FYDPs were efficiently conducted, involving students from the degree programs of Computer Science, Software Engineering, and Information Technology, across both the old and new campuses.

FCIT extends its sincere appreciation to the external examiners for their valuable time, thoughtful feedback, and professional insight during the evaluations. Special thanks are also due to the FYDP supervisors, Heads of Departments, and degree coordinators for their dedicated mentorship and support.

A heartfelt acknowledgment goes to the Dean Dr. Shahzad Sarwar and the Central Administrator Dr. Muhammad Kamran Malik, whose leadership and coordination were key to the smooth and successful execution of the FYDP process. Their combined efforts created an environment that enabled students to showcase their innovation, learning, and practical skills with confidence and excellence.
