Academia-Industry Linkage Portal , Request for Registration with Manual
Reference to the attached letter (earlier circulated), it is apprised that HEC has been striving to promote the collaboration among university researchers, scientists and professionals with the industry, society, and government. In this regard, HEC through Higher Education Development Program (HEDP) has developed a holistic automated platform with specific dashboards for ORIC/BIC/Research centers and academia-industry-government Portal (https://rfi.hec.gov.pk). This portal is part of the overall Research, Innovation, and Commercialization Automation platform, which will have ORIC, BIC, National Centers features to enable them for showcasing of their research and startup achievements and with enhanced connectivity for academia-industry match making.
In addition to above the portal will also provide a unique platform to connect industrial, government and society professionals with the researchers, scientists, and academic fraternity of the universities across Pakistan to solve their problems. It will also provide an interactive environment for industries and government entities to offer projects, opportunities, and final year projects to students (graduates and postgraduate level). Furthermore, it will act as an active source to build liaison i.e., any registered member can initiate meeting requests and match the requirements to solve the problems of industry, society, academia, and government departments. The portal is currently live for users’ registration and feedback/ suggestions (if any). The portal has dedicated section for multiple funding and training opportunities which can be harnessed on competitive basis once your profile is registered.
Keeping in view above, you are strongly requested to sign up on the portal (on the link https://rfi.hec.gov.pk) and circulate this information within your ORIC/BIC/NC for speedy registrations. The user manual to help you in registration is enclosed.
It is apprised that the developed platform also has a dedicated module to automate the HR and meeting activities of centers and to showcase the research performance and impact, originating from ORICs/BICs/National Centers. We will be subsequently sharing further details in this regard. In case of any assistance, please feel free to write us back at oric@hec.gov.pk.
