If there is one thing the Faculty of Computing & Information Technology (FCIT) teaches, it is how to compete—and how to win. Over the last two years, our students have turned national podiums into their second home.

From the complex algorithms of Speed Programming to the creative precision of UI/UX Design and the hardware grit of Robotics, FCIT students have secured a massive haul of Gold and Silver medals across Pakistan.

Here is a look at the champions who are writing the latest chapter of our winning history.

The 2025-26 session has been nothing short of spectacular. Our teams have swept top positions in almost every major hackathon and tech convention.

⚡ Speed Programming: The "Team GATO" Era

In the world of competitive coding, consistency is rare. However, Team GATO (Muhammad Ibraheem and Muhammad Subhan) has proven to be an unstoppable force this season.

The foundation for our current success was laid in 2024, where FCIT students defended our reputation at Pakistan's toughest venues.

• VisioSpark 2024:

  • Winner: Team Data Strugglers (Talha Rashid, M. Ali Khan, M. Ibraheem) claimed the top spot in Speed Programming.

  • Runner-up: Team Data Pirates (Abdul Rehman, Soban Anjum) took 2nd place.

• Code Bees 2.0:

  • Winner: Faiza Waseem, Aneeba Waseem, and Fareeha Ilyas took home the Gold.

• ICPC Pakistan 2024:

  • Silver Medals: Teams Purple Hat (Asad Nazir, Azib Gondal) and Rumbling (Atta-E-Mustafa, Faiq Ali) proved their mettle on the international stage.

Career Opportunities for PUCIT Students at Dyosai

We are expanding our team and have the following positions open, each with its core responsibilities:

- GenAI Expert: Create and maintain AI-driven chatbots and our AI receptionist using existing templates. This role involves building intelligent AI systems and performing upkeep on them, aligning with modern trends of developing autonomous AI assistants.

- Business Developer: Generate new leads, reach out to potential clients, schedule meetings, and prepare proposals (including bidding on platforms like Upwork). Responsibilities mirror typical business development roles, including engaging clients and scheduling meetings.

- Next.js Developer: Design, implement, and deploy web applications using the Next.js framework. Tasks include building scalable web apps, optimizing performance and security, and handling deployment into production.

- Client Onboarding Specialist: Run client meetings and guide new clients through our onboarding process. This position ensures a “smooth and seamless” client experience during onboarding and involves activities like participating in client presentations and workflow setup.

CosmoCon Successfully Held at PUCIT Old Campus, Showcasing Student Innovation and Technical Excellence

Punjab University College of Information Technology (PUCIT) successfully hosted CosmoCon, a student-centric technology and innovation event, bringing together aspiring technologists, developers, and robotics enthusiasts for a day of competitive learning and collaboration.

What You’ll Do:

 Troubleshoot and resolve product/application issues by analyzing logs, queries, and metrics

 Document solutions and contribute to knowledge base and runbooks for quicker resolutions

What We’re Looking For:

 Software development background (hands-on with Python, Bash, PHP, or similar)
 Familiarity with automation testing (frameworks/tools for QA/testing)
 Solid understanding of databases and SQL (PostgreSQL preferred). Experience with the Linux command line is a plus.  Familiarity with web applications, APIs, and microservices
 Strong problem-solving and communication skills
 6 months – 1 year of relevant experience (junior-level dev/testing roles acceptable)
