Application to the Second International Design Education Program is kicked off now. The Program is under the continuing cooperation among The United Nations Technology Bank for Least Developed Countries (UN Technology Bank), WEDC, and the International School of Design at Zhejiang University, Ningbo, China. It is a 2.5 year master’s program in industrial design engineering. Enrolled students are eligible for full scholarships or partial scholarships.
WEDC would like to ask for your support to disseminate this once in a lifetime opportunity to your students. The online application system remains open until April 30. For students to apply, please instruct them to sign up the Online Application System for International Students of Zhejiang University, complete the application form, upload supporting materials to submit an online application at no costs. - After receiving code on your mobile enter the code.
- Enter your email ID and click Send Code. You will receive a code on your provided email.
- Please enter a valid email ID.
- Perform code verification and click on submission.
- You will be registered successfully. Please check your email for further information.
- You will be required enter your created ‘User ID’ & ‘Password’ then ‘Sign in’ on HEC portal.

IMPORTANT:
- All applicants will be required to show commitment to serve in Pakistan after completion of studies
- The grant will be offered for a maximum period of 5 years.
- HEC attested documents are not required at the time of application submission. Those who are shortlisted will be asked to submit the HEC attested documents later. Applicants are advised to download the filled application form for record purpose.
- Misstatement/ misrepresentation of information in the application form can lead to disqualification/ cancellation of the scholarship award at any stage of the program.

Chief Minister Merit Scholarships (CMMS)
The Govt. of the Punjab has launched Ph.D Foreign Scholarship programme under which eligible male and female students, as per the eligibility criteria set for this scheme from time to time, are selected for award of Ph.D scholarship to pursue Education from the top 50 ranked universities of the world. The scholarship scheme focuses the meritorious students of Punjab while have also allocated a special quota for the students coming from other federating units of Pakistan as well.

Apply Now for Graduate study in the United States
The Fulbright Master’s and PhD Program funds graduate study in the United States. Funded by the United States Department of State, these grants cover tuition, required textbooks, airfare, a living stipend, and health insurance. USEFP also assists with the visa process.
For the Master’s degree program, eligible candidates will have either a four-year Bachelor’s degree or a Bachelor’s and Master’s combination totaling 16 years of formal education from an accredited university. Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply, except for MBA and Public Policy/Administration applicants, who require 2 years of work experience.
For the PhD degree program, eligible applicants will have a Master’s, M.Phil or comparable degree (a minimum of 18 years of formal education) from an accredited university. It is highly desirable that candidates have work experience in teaching, research, or the public sector in Pakistan.
For both the Master’s and PhD programs, all academic disciplines are eligible, except clinical medicine. The Graduate Record Examination (GRE General) is required for all applicants. Under the new scoring system, minimum scores of 138 in the verbal and 136 in the quantitative sections are required. Applicants must also possess a high level of fluency in spoken and written English. The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) will be required from all the selected candidates.
All successful candidates are required to sign a contract with USEFP and, for successful PhD candidates, a bond with the HEC that binds them to return to Pakistan immediately after their program in the U.S. and serve the country for the number of years equivalent to the length of their scholarship program. This contract is redeemable on a year-for-year basis minimum of two years; as long as a person fulfills the service requirement, he or she will pay nothing.
Cycle
Applications are accepted each year in February and the deadline to submit application is around May. The application review and interview process continue until September and the results are announced in mid-October. After selection, the university submission and placement process continue until February and visa interviews take place until June. The departure to the U.S. commences in July and onwards, depending on the universities reporting dates.
Eligibility Criteria
Pakistani citizens with strong academic histories, residing (throughout the process) in Pakistan and committed to returning and serving Pakistan are welcome to apply.
All disciplines are eligible except clinical medicine. People in the fields of energy, water, agriculture, health, education, social sciences, and environment are strongly encouraged to apply.
Eligible Master’s applicants will have a four-year Bachelor’s degree or a Bachelor’s and Master’s combination (16 years of formal education) and PhD applicants will have Master’s, M.Phil., or a comparable degree (18 years of formal education) from an accredited university.
Applicants should be prepared to complete grants without accompanying dependents, if need be.
Ineligibility
Persons with a dual U.S./Pakistan nationality or those having a spouse, parent, siblings or child over 18 years of age who is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Employees of the Fulbright organization, the U.S. Department of State, or USAID and their spouses, children, fiancés, siblings, dependents, and parents.
People who have already availed one Fulbright award for any degree program.
Persons already studying in the U.S. or on a work/residence/student visa in any country.

Please note that HEC-attested documents are preferable with the application but degree and transcripts attested by the issuing authority will be acceptable at the time of application.
Incomplete applications will not be considered. An application with references and required supporting documents must be submitted online. Please note that paper applications will not be accepted.

Government of Brunei Scholarship Covers
- Tuition fees including acceptance, examination, registration, and orientation fees for the duration
- Economy class air ticket to Brunei Darussalam from the scholarship recipient’s country of origin/ country of domicile prior to the commencement of the course and an economy class air ticket from Brunei Darussalam to the scholarship recipient’s country of origin/country of domicile upon completion of the course;
- Monthly personal allowance of BND$500.00;
- Monthly meals allowance of BND$150.00;
- Annual book allowance of BND$600.00;
- Accommodation at the residential college of the University/ Polytechnic;
- Baggage allowance for shipment of the scholarship recipient’s personal effects to the country of origin/country of domicile upon completion of the program, at a maximum amount of BND$500.00 to a country outside the ASEAN region;
- Comprehensive insurance for the whole duration of the Scholarship.
