The Position:
having hand-on experience and expertise in manual testing, to help ensure high quality and timely delivery of releases. The successful hire will be located and work out of the Contour Software Lahore office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the division-based R&D department situated in Florida, USA. Job Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer sciences, Information Systems, or equivalent technical Degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in testing enterprise-class, customer-facing business applications.
- Strong experience and proficiency in manual testing, approaches/techniques, and concepts.
- Strong test planning, test management, documentation/cases, execution and reporting skills.
- Hands-on Knowledge/experience of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, APIs etc.
- Experience with writing queries for verification and validation using MSSQL.
- Skilled in test documentation/cases, management of testing suites for different versions/products.
- Familiar with task/defect tracking systems such as JIRA (ideal) or others.
- Strong aptitude towards business process and logic, as well as an out-of-the-box attitude.
- Sound knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Ability to escalate issues to the relevant teams in a timely manner.
- Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, agile environment.
- Ability to work independently is flexible, self-motivated and a team player.
- Ability to interact positively and effectively in a distributed team environment.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills (English).
Timing:
- For the first 6 months, required overlapping/working hours will be between 9am to 5pm Eastern Time, to get trained on the product. After training is complete, the required overlapping hours will be reduced to around 11am/12pm Eastern Time.
